I am also an artist and when I finish college I would love to pursue a career in graphic design. In terms of the art I create I like to focus on the mediums of ink, gouache, digital and oil. Prior to starting this course I spent a year working on a portfolio in a local PLC college.

In addition to art I also love music, I play guitar, sing and write music. Some of my favourite artists are Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, Deftones, Architechts, La Dispute, Rage against the machine, Pup and Lorde. I would consider my music taste to be quite diverse and I listen to a little bit of everything but I mostly live in the circle of ' alternative ' music as I grew up on a lot of punk, metal and grunge music. I am also pretty active in my local alternative music scene.
I'm also very passionate about gaming, I've been playing games since I was about 4 or 5 and a lot of my earliest memories are about playing the PS2. Some of my favourite games are Bloodborne, Borderlands 2, The legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Jedi Fallen Order, Animal Crossing, The Sims 2 and The Last of Us.
I have 3 pets a 10 year old golden retriever named Deacon, a two year old crested gecko named Noodle and a 6 month old kitten named Ham. They are all very strange but what else would you expect from animals that have been trapped with me for their whole lives. Here's some photos of the three of them.

I love your pets, they're so cute. I went to a PLC too, t'was fun. I love Paramore's music and Rage Against the Machine. I cannot wait to spend the rest of 2nd year with everyone. Also... we have the same layout.
ReplyDeleteAs much as i see astrology all over my tiktok, i still have no clue what any of it means haha. I see good few people went to PLC and those were the vibes. Probably the only reason i have any sort of idea of what i want to do for a career, although still debating it. Your pets are adorable tho, i recognise noodle from last year but im more of a cat person so i'll kindly steal your cat.

ReplyDeleteYour art is really cool! I'm looking at pursuing a career in graphic design too, if I get a job as a designer somewhere before you I'll put in a good word for you. If you had to chose a favourite game out of all those what would it be? Also we need more Deacon content!

Hi Ciara, love your artwork and your pets are so cute ! Paramore is the superior band therefore we are better than the majority, fact. I am obsessed with Zelda and played BOTW nonstop for weeks. I've no doubt you'll become a great designer in the future !

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely YES to the love for Paramore and Phoebe Bridgers! Think my favourite song by her is Funeral. Whats yours? I think I've seen Paramore play live around 4 times? Absolutely unreal. Looking at the games you love... Bloodbourne OMG. I could not get past the first level of that. I don't know how you did it. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with this year!

Hey Ciara, I love pets, especially cats. Ham is so cute, I wish I could own one day two cats and a dog but too much effort in taking care of them and clean after them haha. I absolutely love your art work. I used to play games on PS2 too like call of duty and FIFA with my brothers. Hope you become the greatest artist ever and create more artwork that everyone will definitely admire.
ReplyDeleteHey Ciara, Love that you love Paramore, Lorde and Phoebe Bridgers, unreal music taste! Your art is soo good, i've never heard of some of the styles you listed there but they sound really cool. The sims 2 is one of the best versions of the game. Your pets are so cute :(( love their names.

Hey Ciara, wow I love astrology 😊, If you had to choose one game to play forever, which game would you choose and why ? :) Your pets are adorable and I love the picture of Ham, he is soooo cute. (I love cats). The art is great too, Ive seen some art last year and I think you are very talented. Hope this year brings more skills !!
ReplyDeleteHi Ciara, your art looks really good! I also liked playing borderlands 2, Jedi fallen order, animal crossing and sims, really good games. I love dogs, Deacon is adorable he looks like a happy boy. I always wanted some sort of reptile and Noodle is so cool I'm jealous, not a big cat person but Ham is still cute.

ReplyDeleteReally nice to see that you have a clear set path of what you want to do when you finish college. Really cool that you are able to actually play and make your own music. The PS4 was such an iconic system to start out gaming on, I have yet to meet someone who hasn't at least once played on a ps2 lol
